the organization participates in the united nations civil society conference in salt lake city

From August 26 to 28, 2019United by schools took part in the 68th United Nations Civil Society Conference, organized jointly by the UN Department of Global Communications, the City of Salt Lake City, and the NGO Executive Committee.

Held under the theme “Building Inclusive and Sustainable Communities,” the event brought together more than 3,000 participants representing 700 organizations from over 100 countries.

The United by schools delegation — composed of Lenny PamartPierre Fabbri, and Axel Salançon — took part in plenary sessions and thematic workshops focused on sustainability, peace, youth, and new technologies.

The delegation also contributed to drafting the final outcome document, which was later transmitted to the United Nations General Assembly.

On the sidelines of the conference, they attended several cultural and heritage events, including a performance by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, a theater play directed by Robert Redford, and visits to the Utah State Capitol, the former Olympic venues, and Antelope Island.

This participation further strengthened United by schools’ international presence, allowing the association to forge lasting connections with other NGOs working to advance children’s rights, education, and peace.
