In the spring of 2013, while preparing for their baccalaureate at Victor Hugo High School in Lunel, Lenny Pamart, Aydan Kapisiz, and Avril Aillot decided to turn their personal experiences into concrete action.
They founded an association against bullying at school, inspired by Lenny’s book, with the determination to take action where it all began — within the schools of their region.
The association was officially founded in June 2013 and registered with the authorities in November.
During the summer, the three founders developed the first prevention programs, built on tools for dialogue, listening, and field-based intervention.
At the time, the initiative was a pioneer in France: United by Schools became one of the first organizations to raise large-scale awareness about school bullying.
The first actions were carried out in the schools and middle schools of Lunel and neighboring towns, before gradually expanding to other regions.
This local momentum would soon become the association’s hallmark: taking concrete action, close to young people and educators.
