the organization appointed ambassador of the french citizen reserve for education

In 2016, following Lenny Pamart’s individual appointment the previous year, the entire association United by Schools was officially designated as an ambassador of the French National Education Citizen Reserve by Minister of Education Najat Vallaud-Belkacem.

This distinction represented national recognition of the association’s years of on-the-ground work in schools.

It enabled all of its volunteers to join the Citizen Reserve and to train other partner associations, thereby helping to build a stronger educational network across the country.

The French Citizen Reserve allows any willing individual to volunteer within the education system to promote the values of the Republic.

“Reservists” visit classrooms, drawing on their personal or professional experiences to illustrate key themes such as:

  • education in secularism and citizenship,
  • prevention of school bullying,
  • media and digital literacy, and
  • the promotion of democratic values.

By becoming an institutional ambassador of this program, United by Schools reaffirmed its commitment to deeply integrating its mission into national education policy — while continuing to amplify the voices of young people and victims.
